English a global language!

English established a long time ago, but in the last 400 years, it became the world language. Why? Countries in Europe captured land near them, since England is an island they had to travel by sea to capture land, they captured countries like India, USA and South Africa and so on. England was the centre of world trading, they were involved with all countries. Later when America grew big, the language became even more popular. The American music and movies made the language spread across the world, which in my opinion is the reason the language is the world language.
